Medication Delivery System
- 24 hour on-call service provided
- Two deliveries per day, one delivery on weekends
- Orders: are faxed to assure safety and to have a record of the physician
orders for each patient
- Medication administration records provided on each resident
- Blister card packaging
- Medication and treatment carts provided at no charge
- Fax machine provided
- Mosby Nursing Handbooks provided
- Refills for maintenance drug medications automatically filled and sent.
Bimonthly reports are run prior to cycle filling of maintenance drugs
- Emergency kits and narcotic emergency kits are provided
- Intravenous medications will be supplied
- A system is in place for notifying physicians of controlled substances need for each client
- All rehab patients will be dispensed a 10 day supply of medication, unless
otherwise indicated, to comply with length of stay for insurance reimbursement

Main Street Pharmacy's long term care services include:

1. Maintaining complete resident profiles, screening drug interaction and appropriateness
2. Add precaution labels to assist staff
3. Substitute generic medications when possible
4. Develop and maintain a drug formulary with medical director and director of nursing
5. Attend quarterly meeting and keep communications open
